...Per Eboli

…per Eboli (‘For Eboli’) is a cultural association, which was established in 2012. Its main aim is to be a place, where, especially young generations, can discuss and exchange opinions about different matters.

This is seen as the starting point for promotion and add-value projects, addressed to the territory and its talents through cultural activities: book fairs, exhibitions, photography courses, film forum and guided tours.

The first event of the association had been the presentation of the book ‘Inutili Fuochi’ by an author from Eboli, Raffarella Ferrè, and many other book fairs and art exhibition followed.

‘…Per Eboli’ also contributed to promote the habit of ‘recycling’ by taking parts of environmental initiatives, such as the championship of corrugated paper called ‘Cartoniadi’.

In 2014, it also collaborated with Cinema Teatro Italia in organising ‘Cineprospettive: the hidden side of the contemporary cinema masters’. This was a film festival where the community could watch highly considered and critics awarded masterpieces, which have been unfortunately forgotten by the audience.

The leading event of the association, happening very year in September, is the photography contest called ‘Dalle 3 alle 3’ (From 3 to 3): participants are photography lovers who are asked to take 12 pictures (one per hour) with the goal of showing their own city through images.

Other similar activities are basic photography courses, joined by several young people from Eboli who have then continued working on their passion.

Eventually, many guided tours and photography field trips were organised to different destinations, such as Rome and Matera, which is well-known for its stones.
