The National Association of Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) of Italy "ANSI" was founded on May 30th 1946 and is the oldest association of the category of the NCOs Italian inter-forces: it includes all the Italian inter-forces NCOs who have served, or are serving, in the Armed Forces and State Armed Corps. It is registered at the Ministry of Defence and is present throughout the national territory with 53 sections.
The section of Eboli was founded on March 9th 2007, from Mar. Maj. Vincenzo Busico, which also is its current president, representing the first section of Salerno province. The Section was named after the highly decorated "Laudati Vito", born in Eboli on June 15th 1896 by Geliando and Rosaria Rocco. He took part in the First World War of 1915-1918 and other generous actions of war, and was decorated with two Silver Medals for Military Valor. In 1935, he volunteered and embarked for Mogadishu where he took part in the conquest of Ethiopia and, for various acts of war, was decorated with a cross in about War and a Bronze Medal for Military Valor "in the field", to a commemorative medal and a Victory Medal Interallied. Eboli died in 1975, at age 75.
The A.N.S.I. Section of Eboli is twinned with the National Association of Italian Sailors Group of Castellabate from the 6th of April 2014.
